Long Days, Weeks

Last week was long, intense, exciting. The lightning over Lake Mendota portends another week of electrically driven flowing. I will be preparing the second draft of my thesis and continuing to agonize over my options for a PhD program. Please hold me well in your thoughts.

Chris, don't give up on your dreams. I think it is abundantly clear you should go to the school with the best ultimate frisbee program. You are "tha' man."

Remember, the blade is the throw of the future!

That lightning storm was pretty impressive, wasn't it? Even if I did get caught biking in both of them over the weekend...

Good luck with your writing. I, too, am in the throes of writing grant proposals and poster/oral presentations, so I know where you're coming from. Maybe we can have some sort of transcendental support group when both of our pens hit the pages.

Chris,
You're an extremely contemplative person, which is why you're an academic. Though agonizing is a trademark of intense introspection, you should have (well placed) confidence in yourself to make the right decision sans agony. At the very least, I have confidence that you will make the right decision and end up where you need to be. The Universe is a chaotic place that can nevertheless harbor serendipitous synergy. This comes from a self-described atheist and cynic to boot!
